Wide-Area 5250/3270, VT100/220 and SSHv2
Take wireless Terminal Emulation beyond the four walls. The possibilities are endless...
Thanks to Stay-Linked’s thin-client architecture, mobile devices that are capable of connecting to host systems via wide-area broadband access (Windows Mobile Smart Phones, RF equipped PDAs and laptops, etc.) can now access host-based 5250/3270, VT100/220 and SSHv2 screen applications in real-time too. | New MC35 Supported |
No session drops or need to log-off/log-on to the host before or after voice calls:
Stay-Linked’s unique UDP/IP-based Client2Host™ communication scheme automatically minimizes the current host screen session being accessed by the user with their mobile device when voice calls are received or placed.
When the call is over, the user maximizes Stay-Linked and they are presented with the same screen, at the same cursor location where they were immediately prior to the call.
Best of both worlds – wide-area access with centralized management and control:
Stay-Linked thin-client user sessions that connect to host systems from outside the four walls are managed exactly the same way as Stay-Linked users connecting within the four walls by running the supplied Stay-Linked Administrator GUI console.
Bottom line: Wide-area users and centralized support staff benefit from the same Stay-Linked host-based session persistence/reliability, high-performance response and data-level security as all of the other Stay-Linked users.
Imagine the possibilities with real-time access to host systems from anywhere broadband internet access is available:
• Sales personnel can check order status or inventory quantities with their customer
• Service professionals can capture onsite data from field locations
• IT staff can access critical host systems management screens
• Any host screen, for any user, for any real-time data application need
